XCo Tech Inc. has developed an unique and intelligent XPSTM and BioAnalyticsTM platform that operates in the sport, healthcare, AR/VR, and autonomous robotic industries. Specifically within the sport industry, the XPSTM and BioAnalyticsTM platform significantly enhance the future methods of coaching, athletic development, technique assessment, player evaluations, and sports rehabilitation. The proprietary technology underlying XPSTM is a patent pending localization system using ultrawideband radio waves, the first local positioning system with centimeter level accuracy. Sprinting, agility, jumping, and optional biometric data such as heart rate and blood pressure are captured through a wearable tag placed on the athlete. The data is delivered to a single proprietary hub that can be setup in five minutes. XCo’s real-time sport BioAnalytics software provides immediate feedback to coaches, athletes, and authorized users. The XPSTM and BioAnalyticsTM capabilities also demonstrate the system’s potential to operate in the healthcare (including concussion), AR/VR, and autonomous robotic industries.

Originated from CIBER lab in Simon Fraser University, the research in Nano-Devices and Manufacturing for Document and Brand Protection resulted in a new firm IDme Development (2010) that has been acquired and became NanoTech Security Corporation (NTS-V: NTS) (OTCQX: NTSFF). Nano Tech developed new generation security features, called nano-optical variable devices (n-OVDs), has become a leading innovation in the authentication of currency, passports, and identification cards, in addition to distinguishing branded goods from counterfeits. Activated by a simple tilt or rotation, with higher resolutions than the best LED-displays, n-OVDs have been originally inspired by the unique optical properties of the iridescent wings of the Blue Morpho butterfly. n-OVDs and their manufacturing technology have been patented. Nanotech’s KolourOptik and Plasmogram are the first nanotechnology products for currency, documents and brand authentication.

Opmaxx‘s was founded in 1996 with goal of revolutionizing the product development process for analog and mixed-signal electronic devices used in consumer electronics, computer, automotive, and wireless products. Opmaxx pursued its vision by providing proven design and test IPs and tools for automating design analysis and test development for analog and mixed-signal devices. The company won EDN’s “Innovator of the Year for R&D” in 1998. Opmaxx was acquired in July 1999 by Fluence Technology which is now part of Cohu.
