Dr. Zhang is the primary founder of OmniSolu Technology Inc. As a visionary entrepreneur, he leads the operations of OmniSolu Technology Inc. and plays important roles in more than half of the companies incubated by OmniSolu. As of today, the value of these companies has grown to over 100 million CAD with two successful exits. Currently, Dr. Zhang is focusing on the strategic development for the companies in the OmniSolu ecosystem. He is also actively working on the expansion of OmniSolu into other countries including USA, China, and several in South East Asia. Yan obtained his Ph.D. and M. A. Sc. in Engineering at Simon Fraser University, and his B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering from Tsinghua University in China. Prior to OmniSolu, Yan worked at Fortune 500 companies like Philips, Schneider, as well as startups in Silicon Valley such as Soraa. He held senior engineering roles at these companies. In his career, he also possesses experience as a financial equity trader and sales executive.
Dr. Kaminska has a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in wireless sensor networks, and has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed publications in top scientific journals. She has 30 years of academic and corporate experience as a researcher, engineer, entrepreneur, and educator. Throughout her scientific career, she has been a Principal Investigator in more than 24 national and international research grant projects. Dr. Kaminska has been an Invited Lecturer at 25 international and national meetings and congresses. As an entrepreneur, she founded OPTEX in 1994, while also being the cofounder of Adigy Corporation and Opmaxx and serves as CTO. She was also the C.S.O. of I|D|ME Technologies and Nanotech Security (CSE: BCX). Dr. Kaminska was named Innovator of the Year in 1997 by EDN magazine and was the recipient of the BC Innovation Council's Entrepreneurship Fellow Award in 2010.
Wayne Lloyd is a technological entrepreneur. His role is diversified as investor, trader, board member, and advisor to several financial technology and blockchain startups. One of them is SecFi, which connects institutional investors to late stage startups. Wayne is a CFA charter holder and is currently the CEO of Blockchain Holdings Ltd (CSE:BCX), which provides investors and fund managers with unique insights into the growing ecosystem of crypto-assets. Wayne is also founder of the financial analytics company Market Memory, offering data analysis to investment managers and physical commodity traders. Wayne is leading Consensus Core as well, which builds and operates cutting-edge blockchain-focused data centers, while providing immense computing power and critical infrastructure to power the next generation, and beyond.
Ben has been an active angel investor and eco-system builder. His 15+ years of cross border business experience in research, consulting, government, NGO, and investment allows him to bring an extensive business network and know-how to OmniSolu's clients. In the past, Ben consulted for McKesson, aiding in development of China strategies and business development. He has also helped listed companies such as Bank of Communication and China Sunergy come to the US market when he was in charge of China operation of ChinaSF. Through his work with angel groups across China, US, and Europe, Ben has developed insights and access into up and coming global trends. Ben received his M.S. and B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Nevada in Reno. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, Shanghainese, and other Chinese dialects.
